While I was running a few errands today, one of them took me into a small shopping plaza about 20 minutes away. LOTS of cool shops, but I was there for the popcorn store. Turns out there is a nice small used bookstore there as well. I didn't go in, but ran into one of the workers there as I was heading up past it.
I saw "book store" and said out loud, without meaning to be vocal, "Oh, no. Not going in there! I'd spend WAY too much money!" The lady said, "Yes, go in there. You need more books!"
I said I didn't need more, I just wanted more and couldn't afford more. That I have over 400 of my Mom's to still put into my little online only bookstore. The lady was determined to get me in there spending money, lol. Said, but then you are a bookstore owner and qualify for 20% off your purchases!
Lady, do NOT tempt me. I would clear out all the good stuff from the clearance racks and go home broke as heck. I have car insurance due in a couple days, along with other bills. DO. NOT. TEMPT. ME!
I managed to do my shopping and get out of there without hitting the bookstore, but my mind now knows it is there, and along with other used bookstores in my area, along with thrift stores (helloooo, Goodwill and The Sally!), and garage sales, it is inevitable that one day, I'm going to start coming home with more books to sell in my own store, lol.
It's not a possibility. It's inevitable.
