I Wanted To Be A Veterinarian...

and I read up on everything about it as a kid, learned all I could, worked weekends at a vet in the kennels, and so on. I had it all planned out. Unfortunately, I didn't plan on being a complete klutz at chemistry, which is a big part of vet school. In college, in pre-vet classes, I took Chemistry....and nearly blew up the chem lab. I rapidly got encouraged by my advisor to find another course of work. I was also really good at math, so I ended up becoming an accountant, specializing in animal-related clients. It was a great gig, until everybody started doing their own bookwork, lol. Off to a new career in a factory, which I hated, but I stuck it out for over thirteen years.
Somewhere in there, I discovered Etsy and did a bit here and there. I didn't really pay much attention to my shop. Mostly, I let it sit and do whatever, whenever. I know, I'm a sad sack.

And then another somewhere in there, and I discovered I loved making candles and wax melts. I did pretty decent with that, until my shoulders, torn up by those years in a factory, decided that carrying slabs of heavy wax weren't a good idea anymore. I shut down out of frustration. Then I discovered Print On Demand. And with my love of animals, especially dogs and cats, I renamed the shop and took off running with dog and cat designs. I also still carry some candles and wax melts, which are produced through print on demand, as well as incense, other scented bath and beauty products, and candle fragrance oils. I can't quite make myself stop. I loved making candles and wax melts, and still love the whole process of creating and selling them, even if I can't do it all myself anymore.

Since I have three cats and a pit bull (say it fast and you get pibble - she's actually a purebred American Staffordshire Terrier but that's one of the "pit bull" breeds, so I have a pibble!)...the shop became 3KitsAndAPibble. So my shop buddies are Bandit the pibble, and Stars, Bouncer, and Pumpkin the kitties.

Welcome to our world!
Please note, we are three shops in one, mainly because I really don't want to have to fuss with managing three shops. One is enough work, haha. So we also have Christmas Curios for regular Christmas ornament designs, and The Smells Good Lady for things like candles, wax melts, incense, bath and body products, and candle fragrance oils.

Our Mission

Our mission is to assist a great no-kill shelter in their efforts to promote low-cost spay/neuter clinics, thus helping to end the never-ending cycle of unwanted and unneeded litters. We donate $1 from each product sold to the Genesee County Humane Society in Burton, Michigan.

Please note that the cuttoff date for Christmas orders is November 30th each year, without fail. Orders received after this date may not arrive on time, so please allow plenty of extra time for the Postal Service to get your order to you or your preferred recipient.
